Online Dating Safety Policy
Last Modified: July 21, 2026
Black Cap Holdings, LLC (“Black Cap,” “Company,” “us” or “we”) is committed to ensuring safety on our platforms as a highest priority. We are committed to creating a respectful, secure online dating environment where you can connect with confidence. This Online Dating Safety Policy outlines our safety practices, the tools available to you, and important information about what we do—and do not—verify about our members. This Online Dating Safety Policy applies to our website, mobile application, and related services, including:
Jdate at jdate.com;
JSwipe at jswipeapp.com;
Christian Mingle at christianmingle.com;
Zoosk at zoosk.com, and
LDS Singles at ldssingles.com
and all related websites, subdomains, applications (“apps”), app tools, software, or other services (collectively, the “Platform(s)”).
By using our platform, you agree to treat other members with respect and to follow the safety guidelines outlined in this policy.
Remember: Your safety is in your hands. Stay alert, trust your instincts, and use the tools we provide to protect yourself. We are here to support you, but we cannot guarantee the identity, background, or intentions of any member. Always prioritize your personal safety.
Proactive Safety Measures
We implement multiple layers of safety measures to help protect our community:
Profile Review: We use a combination of automated systems and human review to monitor profiles for prohibited content, suspicious activity, and potential safety concerns.
Photo Verification Tools: We offer optional photo verification features that allow members to confirm their photos match their real-time appearance.
Reporting and Blocking Tools: Every member has immediate access to tools to report suspicious behavior, block unwanted contact, and flag inappropriate content.
AI and Machine Learning: We deploy technology to detect patterns of abusive behavior, scam attempts, and other safety threats.
Safety Resources: We provide educational content, safety tips, and links to external resources for domestic violence, sexual assault support, and mental health services.
What We Screen For
We conduct limited screening activities in response to:
Member-generated reports of concerning behavior
Automated detection of suspicious activity or prohibited content
Public reports or law enforcement notifications regarding specific individuals
When we receive a report or detect suspicious activity, we may screen reported members against publicly available sex offender registries and take appropriate action, which may include account suspension or permanent removal from the platform.
Important Limitations: What We Do NOT Do
No Comprehensive Criminal Background Checks
We do not conduct comprehensive criminal background checks on our members. This means:
We do not screen all members before they join the platform.
We do not verify whether members have criminal histories, including convictions for violent crimes, sexual offenses, fraud, or other offenses.
We do not continuously monitor criminal records or arrest records of existing members.
We do not verify information members provide in their profiles, including their name, age, location, employment, education, relationship status, or other biographical details.
Individuals with criminal convictions, including those required to register as sex offenders, may use our platform and communicate with you.
Screening and Identity Verification Limitations
Our screening processes, when conducted in response to reports, are not foolproof and may create a false sense of security. Sophisticated technology can be circumvented through false names or aliases, and criminal background checks only capture publicly available conviction records—excluding arrests without conviction, sealed or expunged records, pending charges, foreign convictions, and recent activity not yet reflected in databases. Records vary by state and may be incomplete or outdated.
We do not verify member identity unless they complete our optional photo verification process, which only confirms that a live photo matches profile photos and does not verify identity, age, criminal history, or any other information. Members may use false names, ages, photos, or other information in their profiles.
